Our journey in Hiroshima began with a visit to the Atomic Bomb Dome, one of the most significant historical landmarks in Japan. This preserved ruin stands as a powerful reminder of the devastation caused by the atomic bombing in 1945 and symbolizes hope for world peace. Seeing it in person was a deeply moving experience.
After visiting the Atomic Bomb Dome, we headed to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. The museum showcases photographs, personal belongings, and detailed stories of the victims, helping visitors understand the tragic events of the bombing and the importance of peace.
Next, we explored the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a peaceful and beautifully maintained area dedicated to remembering those who lost their lives. The park is filled with memorial monuments, green spaces, and the eternal flame, creating a calm atmosphere for reflection.
Finally, we visited Hiroshima Castle, a historic symbol of the city’s samurai past. Surrounded by scenic gardens and a moat, the castle offers insights into Hiroshima’s history before the war and provides a beautiful contrast to the city’s modern landscape.
